How much does football academy management software cost?
It depends on scope. You can choose a fixed-price project or a monthly plan, both based on project size. Player numbers, sites, pitch booking, an app and integrations move the price; a short scoping call gets you a fixed quote. See pricing.
What software do football clubs use?
Most grassroots clubs use a club platform such as Pitchero, Spond or TeamSnap, often alongside WhatsApp groups and a spreadsheet; academies often use class-booking tools such as ClassForKids. Clubs move to a system of their own when fees, workarounds and separate apps start costing more than they save.
How much do Pitchero and Spond cost, and what fees do they add?
Pitchero has a free plan with adverts, Standard at £38 a month plus £2.50 per team and 2.42% + 17p per payment, and Pro at £99 a month with 1.67% + 15p. Spond's core app is free and charges 2.5% + 20p on payments. TeamFeePay lists £349 a year plus 4.25% + 20p (vendor pages, 2026).
Can we move from Teamer, Pitchero or Spond without losing data?
Yes. We import players, parents, groups and payment history from exports, run both systems side by side for a short period, and switch once parents are set up. Published migration guides suggest 2–4 weeks for a whole club.
Does it integrate with FA Full-Time?
Yes, with care. FA Full-Time does not offer a public API, so we agree the route during scoping, usually importing the fixtures and results your league already publishes. The same approach works for federation systems such as DFBnet in Germany, and we only use routes the provider allows.
Can parents pay subs by Direct Debit, card or cash?
Yes. Cards through Stripe, Direct Debit through GoCardless in the UK or SEPA in Europe, and cash or bank transfers recorded by the club, so every family's balance is in one place. Failed payments retry automatically and parents get a reminder before anyone has to ask.
Is it a real app on the App Store under our club's name?
Yes. We build real iOS and Android apps, published under your club's or academy's name, icon and developer accounts. Parents, players and coaches use the same app with different views. If a mobile web app covers your needs, we'll tell you and save you the cost.
How do you handle safeguarding, DBS and medical data?
Medical, consent and contact details are visible only to the staff who need them. Coaches' DBS and safeguarding certificates are stored with expiry dates, and the welfare officer is reminded before one lapses. Your club stays the data controller, and data is hosted in the region you choose.
Can one system run our academy, club and pitch hire?
Yes. One platform can hold academy registrations, club memberships and subs, and pitch bookings, with one account per family and one set of reports. Each part keeps its own rules, so a term fee, a weekly sub and a 5-a-side booking all work as they should.
How long does it take to build football academy or club software?
Timelines depend on project size. Your exact timeline, broken into milestones, comes with the fixed quote; for a new season, start scoping well before registrations open.
Do we own the code and our player data?
Yes. Your player, parent and payment data is always yours, held in your own database and exportable at any time. On a fixed-price project, the source code becomes yours once it is paid in full. There is no per-player licence and no lock-in.
How much does it cost to start a football academy?
Published 2026 guides estimate about £600–1,000 to start a lean UK academy, and $4,500–11,500 for a lean US programme, rising to $25,000–50,000 or more with a facility. Software can start small, with registration and payments, and grow with the academy.
