How much does a custom tee time booking system cost?
It depends on scope. You can choose a fixed-price project or a monthly plan, both based on project size. Courses, membership rules, ranges or simulators, an app and integrations move the price; a short scoping call gets you a fixed quote. See pricing.
What is the best golf club management software, and when is custom better?
Lightspeed Golf, foreUP, Golfmanager, intelligentgolf and ClubV1 cover the essentials for many clubs. Custom makes sense when you want to stop bartering tee times, need membership or society rules a package doesn't handle, or want your own app and data. Many clubs now mix specialist tools that integrate well.
How much does BRS Golf cost, and what are barter tee times?
BRS does not publish club prices. Barter, or trade, tee times are slots a club gives a marketplace such as GolfNow to resell in exchange for software or marketing, typically about two a day. NGCOA estimates each traded slot costs a course about $14,800 a season, plus $20,500 in lost opportunity.
Can we leave GolfNow or BRS without losing members' data?
Yes. Export member, booking and handicap data before your contract ends, and we import it into your new system and run both in parallel until members are set up. A GCMA report found new club systems take 7–8 months to implement, so plan the switch around your contract and your season.
Does the system integrate with WHS, England Golf, GHIN or Golf Genius?
Where those bodies and vendors offer an interface, yes: handicap indexes and scores through the national system, WHS in the UK and Ireland or GHIN in the US, and competitions through Golf Genius. Access rules differ by federation and vendor, so we confirm the route during scoping.
Will the app cope with the tee-sheet release rush?
Yes, if it is built for it. We treat the release as its own event: a fair queue, slot locking so no tee time is double-booked, limits on how many slots one member can hold, and load testing for the busiest minute before go-live.
Can members pay by Direct Debit, SEPA or card?
Yes. Subscriptions and instalments by Direct Debit through GoCardless in the UK, SEPA direct debit in Europe, or card through Stripe; house accounts for bar and shop spend; and visitor green fees paid at booking, with deposits for groups.
Can it run driving range and simulator bays with keyless access?
Yes. Bays are booked and paid online, each booking creates a PIN or QR code valid only for its slot, and the bay's TrackMan or Toptracer unit can switch on with the booking where the hardware allows. Staff get alerts for anything unusual.
Can societies book, pay deposits and run their own handicaps?
Yes. Societies book tee-time blocks online, pay a deposit and split the balance by player. Organisers run society handicaps for players without an official one, live scoring and leaderboards, and share results to the group's WhatsApp.
Is it a real app on the App Store under our club's name?
Yes. Real iOS and Android apps, published under your club's name, icon and developer accounts, with tee booking, scorecards, competitions and notices. Apple charges $99 a year and Google a one-off $25 for the developer accounts.
How long does it take to build golf club software?
Timelines depend on project size. Your exact timeline, broken into milestones, comes with the fixed quote; we plan go-live outside your busiest weeks.
Do we own the source code and member data?
Yes. Your member, booking and handicap data is always yours, held in your own database and exportable at any time. On a fixed-price project, the source code becomes yours once it is paid in full. There is no per-round licence and no lock-in.
