How much does a tennis club booking system cost?
It depends on scope. You can choose a fixed-price project or a monthly plan, both based on project size. Courts, membership rules, box leagues, an app and gate control move the price; a short scoping call gets you a fixed quote. See pricing.
Is ClubSpark free for tennis clubs?
The LTA version is free for LTA-registered venues; the club pays payment fees of 0.8% through GoCardless or 1.4% + 5p plus Stripe's fees. Clubs outside the scheme pay for commercial ClubSpark, from £15 a month on annual billing, and the Basic tier doesn't include court booking (vendor comparison, October 2026).
Can we keep ClubSpark and the LTA Rally listing and still have our own system?
Usually, yes. Rally is the LTA's player-facing booking tool, free to join and linked to venues already on ClubSpark. Many clubs keep that listing for public bookings while members, coaching and box leagues run on a system they own; we check what the LTA's interfaces allow during scoping.
What is the best tennis club management software?
There is no single best option. LTA ClubSpark suits most UK members' clubs that want to start quickly, and CourtReserve and Playbypoint suit US racquet facilities; a June 2026 guide notes that club apps such as Teamo and Spond don't do court booking. Custom makes sense when fees grow or you want your own app and data.
Can the system run box leagues and ladders?
Yes. Boxes by standard with promotion and relegation each round, challenge ladders, results entered by players and confirmed by opponents, and a court booking linked to each match. Results can update a club rating and, where your federation provides access, a player's World Tennis Number.
Can bookings open the gate and switch on the floodlights?
Yes. Each booking can create a code or QR pass that opens the gate a few minutes before the slot and stops working after it, and the floodlights on that court follow the booking. We connect gate controllers, smart padlocks and lighting relays that offer an interface.
Can members pay subscriptions by Direct Debit, SEPA or card?
Yes. Direct Debit through GoCardless in the UK, SEPA direct debit in Europe, cards and wallets through Stripe, and Bizum in Spain, with annual fees split into instalments where you allow it. Bar and shop spend goes on the member's account; the club pays only the provider's fees.
Do we need an app, or is web booking enough?
For a club whose members book once a week, a fast mobile website is often enough. An app pays off when members book several times a week or want push alerts for released courts and box league deadlines. We build both from one code base, so you can add the app later.
How long does it take to build a tennis club system?
Timelines depend on project size. Your exact timeline comes with the fixed quote, and we plan the switch before a renewal season rather than during one.
Do we own the source code and our member data?
Yes. Member, booking and results data always belongs to the club, held in its own database and exportable at any time. On a fixed-price project, the source code becomes the club's once it is paid in full. There is no platform lock-in and no per-member licence.
Can you migrate our members and bookings from ClubSpark or a spreadsheet?
Yes. We export members, categories, future bookings and payment history where the platform allows, clean up duplicates and import them, then run both systems side by side until renewals are through. Members get one message with a sign-in link; their details and bookings are already there.
What does it cost to add floodlights, and what software do we need?
The LTA puts new LED floodlights at about £60,000 for a block of four courts, or about £40,000 to convert existing lights to LED. The software needs a floodlight add-on in the booking flow, lighting control tied to bookings and, for unstaffed hours, gate codes, so the evenings pay for the lights.
