Custom Sports Software Development: Booking Systems, Club Management, Academy Platforms and Apps Your Club Owns
Kodlify is a software studio that designs and builds booking systems, club and academy management software, websites and mobile apps for sports businesses. Custom sports software development means designing and coding software around how one club, facility or academy actually works, instead of renting a product built for everyone. We are a sports software development company for club owners, facility operators, academy directors and sports-tech founders in the UK, Europe, the UAE and the US, working as fixed-price projects or monthly plans. The code and the data are yours, and we take no commission.
Not sure where to start? The scenarios below point to the right solution, and each solution page explains what affects the price and how to get a fixed quote.
Which solution do I need?

You need a court booking system: online booking and payment on your own rules, with door access and lights for unstaffed hours.

You need club management software: one system for members, billing, bookings, access and communication.
Club management softwareYou run coaching groups, terms or camps, and evenings disappear into registrations and fees
You need academy management software: enrolment, sessions, coaches, fees and a parent app.
Academy managementMembers want an app, or you have an idea for a sports app of your own
You need a sports club app: your own iOS and Android app under your name, or a marketplace app if you are a founder.

What we build
Court booking system
Real-time booking and payment for courts, pitches, halls and bays, with your own pricing rules, split payments, waitlists and no-show rules. Doors and lights can follow the bookings, so a venue can open without staff. It runs on your website, in your app, or alongside a marketplace listing.

Memberships, families and renewals, subscriptions by Direct Debit, SEPA or card, bar and shop sales, access control and member messages by email, push and WhatsApp. Built for volunteer-run clubs, multi-sport clubs and leisure centres that want one system instead of five subscriptions.

Enrolment by term, block or trial, coach timetables and attendance, fees and instalments, safeguarding records and a parent app with progress reports. For football and tennis academies, swim schools, gymnastics and martial arts, camps and multi-branch franchises.

Your club's own iOS and Android app for booking, payments, memberships and news, published under your developer accounts. For founders, we scope marketplace apps separately, with venue onboarding, matchmaking and payouts.

A professional website for your club, with courts, prices, memberships, coaching and events, built to be fast on phones and easy to find. Online booking can be a link, an embed or your own system, in one language or several, including right-to-left Arabic.

Sports we build for
One core, many sports
Under the hood, most sports software shares the same core: accounts, bookings, memberships, payments, notifications and reporting. We build that core once, properly, and add the rules that make each sport different on top: Americano rotations for padel, tee intervals for golf, age groups for a football academy, rating-based sessions for pickleball. That is why one system can grow with you, whether a tennis club adds padel courts, an academy opens a second venue or a facility adds an app.
Build or buy? A subscription is often the right choice for a small club with standard needs. Custom software starts to pay off when platform fees grow with every member or booking, when your rules don't fit a package, or when you want your own app and data. One published build-vs-buy guide puts the tipping point for youth leagues at around 30 teams, or $7,200 a year in software fees.
- You own the code and the data
- No commission or per-member fees
- Local payments: SEPA, Bizum, Gulf gateways and cash
- WhatsApp and push messages
- Five languages, including right-to-left Arabic
- Fixed price or monthly plan
Questions about custom sports software
How much does custom sports software cost?
It depends on what you need. Price and timing depend on project size, and every project gets a fixed quote after a short scoping call. For context, published guides put a custom sports app MVP at roughly $25,000–60,000; that is a market figure, not a Kodlify price.
Should a sports club build or buy its software?
Buy when a subscription covers your rules and the fees stay small. Build when commission or per-member fees keep growing, when your rules don't fit a package, or when you want your own app and data. Compare several years of subscription and fees with the cost of a build before deciding.
Do we own the code and the data?
Yes. Your member, booking and payment data is always yours. In the UK, an agency keeps the copyright in code it writes unless the contract assigns it; ours passes ownership of the custom software to you once the project is paid in full.
Do you charge commission or per-member fees?
No. You pay for building the software, as a fixed price or a monthly plan. Payments go through your own payment provider, so the only transaction fees are the provider's.
Can you move us from Pitchero, ClubSpark, Playtomic or spreadsheets?
Yes. We export members, bookings and payment history from your current platform or spreadsheets, import them into the new system and run both side by side until everyone has switched. Marketplace listings such as Playtomic can stay live for discovery.
Which sports, countries and languages do you work with?
Mostly padel, tennis, pickleball, football, golf and basketball, plus swimming, gymnastics, martial arts and other court, pitch and class-based sports. We work with clubs in the UK, Europe, the UAE and the US, in English, German, Spanish, Italian and Arabic.
